China will be celebrating its 70th founding anniversary in the first week of October. Petrochemical factories near Beijing have either lowered their operating rates or closed ahead of the national day holiday. Chinese demand for petrochemicals is likely to be muted during this period as production falls, weighing on imports into the country.
